Saturday's celebration of the park's opening coincides with the city's 250 year celebration.

It features an amphitheater with a covered stage complete with lights and sound for concerts, a playground, water features, art, walking trails and educational stopping points.
Gatton Park will be a hub for concerts, beginning with The Beach Boys and Kansas this fall.
