Governor Andy Beshear announced on social media Tuesday night that FEMA Public Assistance has been approved for counties affected by April flooding and May tornadoes.

Congressman Andy Barr also took to social media to applaud the President's approval of $56 million for relief efforts.

Seven people were killed in April's flooding that hit multiple counties in the state, and 20 Kentuckians died when tornadoes tore across Laurel, Pulaski, and Russell Counties in May.
