The Mayor released a statement saying, “Lexington has had a difficult few days. Our community is at its strongest when we are together, and that’s more important than ever right now.”
The vigil is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Courthouse Plaza in downtown Lexington.
Gorton will be joined by Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, Fayette County Sheriff Kathy Witt, faith leaders, and other community partners.
