Speaking with NBC News about his administration's deportation actions, Trump was asked whether he's required to uphold the Constitution and began his response with "I don't know," adding that his lawyers would "obviously follow what the Supreme Court said."
Following the Constitution is not a suggestion. It is a guiding force for all of us who work on behalf of the American people. Do you agree?

Monday afternoon, Paul posted to X that "Following the Constitution is not a suggestion," going on to call it the "guiding force" for all in public service and asking followers if they agree.
The post comes on the heels of one of the Kentucky senator's more passionate speeches directed against the expansion of executive power last week. Seeking to withdraw the emergency Trump is invoking to implement sweeping tariffs, Paul blasted Congress for ceding power to the president.
"The founders would not be surprised that the executive would attempt to aggrandize power at the expense of the legislature. They would have expected it. Indeed, they did expect it. But the founders would be shocked that Congress would voluntarily and recklessly and fecklessly give up their power to the presidency, to submit to emergency rule," he said.
Paul has said that tariffs are taxes and only Congress has the right to levy them.
