Lex Studios is on a mission to showcase Kentucky and make it globally recognized for film and TV production. It is the biggest production facility in Kentucky, and with the tax incentives offered by the state, Kentucky is the perfect place. The studios opened 7 months ago and now they are looking for actors and extras to fill roles in local productions.
Casting director Bill Marinella, whose credits include The Walking Dead, House of Cards and Juror Number 2 directed by Clint Eastwood spoke with WUKY about the casting process.
Lex Studios features over fifty thousand square feet of production space and can produce everything from commercials, TV shows and movies. outside of Los Angeles New York, Atlanta and Chicago, Lex Studios looks to become the 5th largest state for productions.
The casting call is this Sunday, February 16th from 11-3 at their studios at 425 Codell Drive in Lexington.
