Man arrested for ramming fence, driving on active runways at Bluegrass Airport

Tire tracks show the path of the vehicle, allegedly driven by Steven Hockensmith, took after crashing through the airport fencing along Versailles Road.

Surveillance video shows a vehicle, allegedly driven by 51-year-old Steven Hockensmith swerving across the tarmac and coming to a stop by striking a parked golf cart.

According to the arrest citation, Hockensmith told police he rammed the fence along Versailles Road intentionally, that he needed to speak with Homeland Security officials, and that he suffered from anxiety and some mental health problems.

Hockensmith is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespassing, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
