Kentucky's Governor has arrived in Davos, Switzerland for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, a global event that brings together business, government and academic leaders. Their mission statement is to improve the state of the world.

Governor Andy Beshear was invited to speak at the 2025 World Economic Forum and calls it another opportunity to promote Kentucky.

“All of these companies from around the world want to hear our story, an opportunity to bring back more jobs and more prosperity,” Beshear said in a posted video of his drive to Davos. “I am so proud to represent us, a place that I love, a place that's all of our home, and a place that's finally getting the attention that we deserve. Going to talk about our new Kentucky home to everybody that'll listen.”

Beshear tells WUKY he will be introducing his administration's economic initiative 'New Kentucky Home' to global leaders and highlighting the state's economic momentum. He added that he hopes to pave the way for new businesses to invest in Kentucky and encourage those that already operate in the state to expand their companies here. Beshear plans to feature the state's growth in the automotive, electric vehicle, and battery sectors.
