This week on the WUKY SportsPage Keith Elkins catches up with Lexington native Kevin Jarvis who pitched for parts of 12 seasons in the major leagues. He was a star at Tates Creek High School and Wake Forest University before going on to that long major league career, which began with the Cincinnati Reds. Jarvis pitched for 10 teams in all.
Kevin Jarvis has been a scout for the Diamondbacks, Padres and Angels, and now he’s in the role of baseball parent. His son Bryce Jarvis was a first round choice of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the 18th overall pick in the 2020 draft.
