The concessionary menu at one Kentucky ballpark is about to change.
Fans of the Florence Freedom minor league baseball team in northern Kentucky may be able to sing about buying peanuts in "Take Me Out To The Ball Game," but they won't be able to get the real thing at the ballpark.
The franchise has made UC Health Stadium into what it says is the first allergy-friendly ballpark by pulling all peanuts of the shelves of concession stands.
A spokeswoman for the Frontier League team, Sarah H. Eichenberger, says while many parks have gone peanut-free for one night as a promotion, the team decided to take the action to make the park accessible to more people who have allergies
Eichenberger says the team is working on creating a new graphic menu board to show fans which products are allergy-friendly.
