Doolittle Doesn't Want To Talk To Stuck Alligator
A Michigan man was mowing his lawn when he noticed an alligator was stuck in a window well of his house. An animal rescue employee finally helped. But for a while, authorities didn't believe the man's story because of his name: Terry Doolittle. Not unlike Dr. Doolittle, the fictional character who talks to animals.

First Lady Urges Delegates To Round Up Voters
Michelle Obama spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday. On Wednesday, she made the rounds in Charlotte, N.C. talking to groups of delegates. The way to fight back, she said, was for delegates to step up their person-to-person ground game aimed at winning more votes for her husband.

European Central Bank Meets On Interest Rates
Investors around the world will be watching nervously to see what the head of the bank says about interest rates. Mario Draghi was recently quoted as saying he would do whatever it takes to keep Europe's debt crisis from growing. And that could mean using central bank resources to help lower the cost of borrowing from some of Europe's weaker economies.
