Keenan Burton was a receiver and kick returner for the Wildcats from 2003 through 2007. He is fourth in career receptions, sixth in receptions for one season, second in career receiving yards, and second in career touchdown receptions with 25. In this conversation with Keith Elkins he talks about how he had to confront some fear when, as a child, he first became interested in football. The classic Male-Manual rivalry, his recruitment to UK, and his experience playing for coach Rich Brooks and working with quarterback Andre Woodson on a high-powered offensive unit. Keenan also talks about the challenge of rehabilitating from injury, and how a visit to the Rams’ training facility helped him put closure to his playing career. He is now successful in business and, though he is doing some part-time coaching, is focused on his family. He recently became a father for the second time.
