Vera Mabson is Singer-Songwriter, Poet, Choir Director, Praise Dancer, Dancer
Mother, Psychology educator, Paraeducator for Fayette County Public Schools and Seamstress from Lexington Kentucky who is also one half of The Vera and Steve Mabson Musical Duo and a member of The Positive Movement Band.

Her leadership skills simply knows no end as she has acquired skills and expertise in Nonprofit Organization leadership, sales, communication, online advertising, and data analysis. A "multipotentialite" in all meaning of the word, she has masterfully "orchestrated" her service to be shared amongst a lot of organizations in Central Kentucky.

Even more impressive she has embedded the diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging themes into all she does, most notably in forming an advisory board and committee to assess the need for and executing the 1st Lexington African American Music Awards in the most careful, determined, and strategic of ways - by engaging others in the process from all identities, backgrounds, skill levels and commitment to excellence.

While in the beginnings of this exploration, there is no doubt this project is on a path of greatness for the City of Lexington and its entire community. She is in process of organizing these efforts into a 501c3 and is planning on applying for grants and funding so the African American community and its stories can be represented, communicated, and recognized for generations to come. Vera Mabson is Woman of Distinction in Central Kentucky and her love for others, commitment to volunteering, her drive of excellence is everything she does, and her role is a Female African American Business Owner in Kentucky makes her a WUKY Woman of Distinction.

Dr. El-Amin is an author and editor who holds Doctorates from Northcentral University, University of the Cumberlands, Colorado Theological Seminary, and Union Institute and University. She has over 20 years of experience in management, occupational, and organizational development. Dr. El-Amin is co-founder of Project Ricochet, Inc, a thriving youth development organization. She has also served as the Multicultural Family Center, Executive Director for the City of Dubuque and as Chair of the Raleigh Human Relations Commission.
Renee is “working in concert” as a dynamic keynote speaker, organizational development consultant, executive producer and radio show/podcast producer and host. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Kentucky in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Executive Human Resource Development from Xavier University. Renee is the Media and Marketing Manager for Project Ricochet and she serves on the WUKY DEIB Community Advisory Board. In 2023, she was named Nexstar Media Group's "Remarkable Woman of Central Kentucky", an honor recognizing her influence on public policy, social progress, and quality of life.
