The Pitt and Widow's Bay took home the top prizes in television at the Emmy Awards on Monday night.
Actor Matthew Rhys became the first person to win in two lead acting categories in one night: he took home best actor in a comedy series for Widow's Bay, soon after he was honored as best lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie for The Beast in Me.
Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay hosted the show, which paid tribute to the many stars Hollywood has lost over the past year: Reba McEntire performed a rendition of Appalachian Memories in memory of Dolly Parton. Macaulay Culkin, who played Catherine O'Hara's son in Home Alone, honored the late actress alongside Annie Murphy and Dan Levy, who played O'Hara's kids in Schitt's Creek. Jamie Lee Curtis remembered the actor Rob Reiner, who posthumously won an Emmy earlier this month for a guest appearance on The Bear. And Noah Kahan performed "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in the In Memoriam segment, which included the designer Bob Mackie, whose death was announced on Monday.
