Most analysts project the Penn State transfer will be selected sometime in the first round. By foregoing Kentucky’s bowl game, Levis will have two months to get healthy before playing in the Senior Bowl, the top pre-draft showcase for NFL scouts.
Despite dealing with various foot, finger, and shoulder injuries, Levis completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 2,406 yards and 19 touchdowns vs. 10 interceptions in helping lead Kentucky to a 7-5 record and a school-record seventh consecutive bowl appearance.
Levis, who is the only quarterback in school history to defeat rivals Louisville and Florida twice, went 17-7 as a starter over two seasons and ranks fifth all-time in passing touchdowns (43), fifth in total offense (5,501 yards), and sixth in passing yards (5,232).
