: FRANKFORT, Feb. 15 – Rep. Daniel Grossberg, D-Louisville, speaks on House Bill 7, an act relating to autonomous vehicles, on the House floor on Thursday.

A Kentucky lawmaker is facing renewed calls to resign amid allegations of inappropriate contact with female peers.

The Fayette County Young Democrats posted a new statement online saying, “amid numerous allegations of conduct unbecoming to any elected official” the organization is calling for Louisville Democratic Rep. Daniel Grossberg to resign.

Young Democrats in Louisville are making the same demand, adding his resignation would be “what is best for our members, our party, and our state to move forward.”

Gov. Andy Beshear has also joined the chorus of concern, saying Grossberg should give some thought to whether elected office is the right place for him but stopped short of calling for him to step down.

Grossberg came under scrutiny after the Lexington Herald-Leader confirmed accounts of sexual harassment against Grossberg by multiple women. He has denied any wrongdoing.
