K-12 classes start back up in Fayette County in just over a week. A number of resources are available for parents as they plan for the start of the new school year.

While RISE and Promise academies already opened their doors on July 30, most elementary, middle, and high school students in Fayette County will be starting their new school year on Wednesday, August 14.

Bus routes might be among the first questions on parents’ minds. FCPS is offering an online method to make sure you’ve got that information squared away. The site is fcps.net/b2sbasics. There visitors will find a dynamic bus route finder tool updated with the latest information.

This week, all 10 school-based health clinics will reopen for the school year on Wednesday. They offer school physical exams, sports physicals, and required immunizations. More details can be found at fcps.net/clinics.

This Saturday, the FamU Fest will be held at the Family Connection Center North from 9 to noon. The event features kindergarten registration, community resources, free food trucks, music, games, and a FAFSA Tailgate for recent high school graduates.
