Duvall's highly personal story of her rape at age 12 by her stepfather — and her willingness to speak candidly about the incident in the midst of a political contest — made her a pivotal figure in Democratic Governor Andy Beshear's successful reelection campaign.
In her ads for Bashear, she focused on the state's strict anti-abortion laws, which have no exceptions for rape or incest. In her ad for the Biden campaign, she recounts how she felt hearing Roe v. Wade had been struck down and how she feared girls like her wouldn't have the options she had.
Last time she spoke directly to former GOP candidate for Governor Daniel Cameron. Now her message is squarely aimed at the top of the Republican presidential ticket.
"Trump and JD Vance don't care about women. They don't care about girls in this situation, they will continue to take our rights away," Duvall says near the end of the minute-long video. "In this election. We have a choice."
Duvall has also upped her national profile by appearing with Vice President Kamala Harris on MSNBC and campaigning alongside First Lady Jill Biden.
