October is national domestic violence awareness month and WUKY is joining in the effort to publicize a relatively new city-wide, multi-media, multi-platform campaign called “It’s Time.” The campaign debunks the myth that domestic violence is a private issue. It’s our responsibility to have open conversations, model ways people can support survivors, and hold people who abuse accountable. News Director Alan Lytle recently visited with Stephanie Theakston of the Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition and Greenhouse 17 Assistant Director Diane Fleet.
