Organizers say Pridefest changes proved successful

The annual Lexington Pride Festival was held Saturday at a different venue. WUKY’s Alex Hamilton has the details.

The gathering was relocated indoors to the Central Bank Center instead of the courthouse plaza, where it was usually held in previous years.

Even with moving inside, it didn’t stop tens of thousands of Kentuckians celebrating the day according to festival chair Jeremy Ellis.

The festival gave attendees food, live music, entertainment, information, and resources, as well as more vendors than in prior years.
