According to Niche, a college ranking site that has expanded to cover K-12 schools, three Lexington high schools – Dunbar, Lafayette, and Henry Clay – ranked third, fifth, and sixth respectively in their latest study.
The schools were ranked using seven main areas, with each receiving grades in academics, culture and diversity, teachers, and sports.
In overall grades, Dunbar received an A+.
The top scoring public high school in the state was DuPont Manual High School in Louisville, the only ranked school located in the state’s largest city.
