Organizers say Railbird to take 2022 off, return in 2023 at new venue

Karyn Czar

The promoters of the Railbird Festival say they will take the summer of 2022 off and return to a new location – Red Mile Gaming & Racing, June 3rd and 4th of 2023. The past two Railbirds had been held at Keeneland.

Attendees of the 2021 event complained of long food and water lines on the first day of the festival. Those complaints made the rounds quickly on social media. Changes were made for the following day, including adding additional water refill stations and allowing every patron to bring in their own water bottle.

Organizers say the 2023 weekend festival will have music, bourbon, Kentucky cuisine, and more.

Further details and information about Railbird Festival 2023 will be released in the coming months.
