Concordia is the premier global convening platform dedicated to actively fostering cross-sector partnerships for social impact, and the Lexington Summit will gather politicians, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and UK students to deliberate innovative, sustainable solutions to social challenges in the U.S. WUKY's Arlo Barnette has this preview.

Concordia is the leading global affairs forum known for hosting the largest non-partisan summit during the United Nations General Assembly. It’s partnering with the University of Kentucky and companies including Rubicon to put on the 2022 Lexington Summit, which will take on U.S.-focused themes including environmental sustainability, innovative technology, and economic empowerment for small businesses, women, and minorities in light of the pandemic and increasing inflation.

Dr. David Blackwell is helping coordinate the event for UK.

Students from UK will speak, as will the President of the Republic of Ecuador, and Governor Andy Beshear.

The event starts Thursday morning and continues through Friday, split by an evening concert by the Temptations at the Lexington Opera House titled "Harmony in the Heartland." Digital passes are free. To watch the livestream of the summit, visit concordialive.com/lexington.
