In November 2019 Keith Elkins interviewed Joe B. Hall to talk about his memoir and share stories of that magical 1978 national championship season.

Here's a tribute from SportsPage host Keith Elkins:

I was a UK student when Joe Hall was named head coach in 1972. When I started working at WBKY in 1973, I went to his office to introduce myself, and he took a few minutes to talk with me and help me get started in covering the team. He was absolutely all business on the court, but was very respectful to everyone he met, and, as fans learned later through his radio show and other public appearances, he had a great sense of humor. He led UK basketball into a new era through the integration of the program, and   took it back to the top with the NCAA championship in 1978. No one had a better understanding of the tradition — and challenges — of Kentucky basketball than Joe B. Hall.
