Positive COVID Tests Keep Pros Out Of PGA Event

Ted Purdy and Chris Couch have withdrawn from the Barbarsol Championship after testing positive for the coronavirus. That makes four PGA Tour players in 12 days to get a positive test. The Barbasol Championship is held opposite the British Open. Purdy is a one-time winner on the PGA Tour and he started out as the sixth alternate when the field for the Kentucky event was posted last Friday. Couch was the third alternate. They have been replaced by Eric Axley and Smylie Kaufman.
