Today the state transitions from Healthy at Home to Healthy at work. Phase 1 (May 11th) of businesses reopening includes manufacturing, construction, car and boat dealerships, professional services at 50%, horse racing withous fans and pet grooming and boarding.
Phase 2 begins on May 20th and includes retail. Houses of worship were initially scheduled to allow in-person services on this date but a court order over the weekend allowed in-person services to begin immediately.
Phase 3 begins on May 25th and includes barbers, salons, cosmetology and similar services. Gatherings of 10 people or less will also be allowed on this date.
Governor Andy Beshear is asking the public to wear masks to help protect one another. He’s following the guidelines set by the CDC. Businesses are required to follow safety guidelines in order to open and that includes masks for employees. While the public is not legally required to wear masks, businesses can refuse service if you don’t wear one.
