The Bluegrass Trust For Historic Preservation, 21c Museum Hotels and the Mid-Century Society of Lexington are bringing to town noted blogger, lecturer, creator of kitschy foods, and all-around promulgator of mid-century Americana Charles Phoenix for a Saturday benefit party and Sunday night retro slide-show at the Kentucky Theatre. Proceeds will aid in efforts to preserve a number of mid-century buildings in and around Lexington. WUKY's Alan Lytle gets a preview from event organizer Lucy Jones.
