The Commonwealth of Kentucky will seek the maximum punishment under state law for the teen accused of the mass-shooting at Marshall County High School last year. Gabriel Parker was 15-years old when he opened fire at the school, killing two classmates and injuring 14 others. Because Parker was under 16 at the time of the crime, he cannot receive the death penalty. If he is convicted, prosecutors will ask that he be given life in prison without probation or parole until he has served at least 25-years. A status hearing is set for this Friday.
