A Bet's A Bet - Tennessee Mayor Dons UK Gear In Lexington

Karyn Czar

Chicken Wings is a staple of the menu at KSBar and Grille in Lexington but today for dessert they were serving up some humble pie to a politician from the Volunteer state.  Knox County, Tennessee mayor Glenn Jacobs joined Lexington mayor Linda Gorton to don a Blue and White UK T-Shirt and pay up for a bet after the Wildcats beat the Vols in the first basketball matchup of the season.

Jacobs, who is known by most as professional wrestler "Kane" from WWE, made the trek north on Interstate 75 and signified a willingness to take on Gorton as a tag team partner to grapple with several common challengers.

The two made another wager on the outcome of the rematch.  The loser will a make a financial contribution to the winner’s local children’s hospital and that donation will be matched by Kentucky Sports Radio.
