The trial of a man accused of shooting and paralyzing a Lexington girl starts Monday. Carlos Jenkins is charged with wanton endangerment, assault and tampering with evidence. Police say he fired shots into a home in 2017 where Amya Catching was having a sleepover for her 12th birthday. A bullet pierced her spine and she is now in a wheelchair. Jenkins was allegedly having a dispute with the boyfriend of the woman who was hosting the party.
