In October, a jury gave their recommended sentences for the four men convicted of killing Trinity Gay. Today, a judge is expected to confirm how much time they will spend behind bars.
Trinity was a star-athlete at Lafayette High School and the daughter of Olympian and Lexington native Tyson Gay. She was shot and killed in the Cookout Restaurant parking lot two years ago. The recommendations for Chaz Taylor, his son D’Markeo Taylor, Lamonte Williams and D’Vonta Middlebrooks range from one to 20 years in prison, depending on their involvement in Trinity’s murder and previous crimes.
