Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is set to take the stage again in Louisville tonight – this time to rally supporters against the GOP tax plan. The former presidential hopeful will speak against “Republican attempts to further rig the system in favor of the wealthy,” according to a news release.
The free event will take place at the Galt House at 7.
Sanders has made multiple trips to Kentucky, both ahead of the 2016 Democratic primary and to drum up support for the party.
Republican Party of Kentucky spokesman Tres Watson released a statement, calling Sanders a “multi-millionaire socialist” and taking the lawmaker to task for lecturing “Kentuckians about why the government needs to take more of their hard-earned money.”
