Blue Grass Airport Says 2015 A Record Year For Hub Use

Blue Grass Airport

The Breeders' Cup at Keeneland and an unprecedented amount of flight options are being credited for a record number of passengers using Blue Grass Airport in 2015.  Spokesperson Amy Caudill says more than 1.2 million travelers factored the hub into their travel plans.

"We certainly had a lot of international and nationwide visitors come to visit for the Breeders' Cup World Championships, and we also saw a lot of flight increases.  We had new flights to Myrtle Beach on Allegiant, new flights to Philadelphia, and we're starting the year off great by offering new flights to Savannah/Hilton Head and Baltimore," Caudill told WUKY.

With those additions Blue Grass Airport now features 17 non-stop destinations, the most in its 69 year history.
