Authorities in Kentucky say an Indiana man was arrested in the death of a boy killed in a knife attack in his bedroom during a pre-dawn burglary.
Police in Versailles say the suspect, Ronald Exantus of Indianapolis, broke into the home on Douglas Avenue just before 4:00 this morning, went to an upstairs bedroom where 6-year old Logan Tipton was sleeping and stabbed the boy multiple times in the head and neck with a large kitchen knife he found in the home. At some point the boys father intervened and was able to detain the alleged attacker until police arrived. The 32-year old was arrested and charged with murder and first-degree burglary. Investigators say Exantus confessed to the crime.
