Council Limits Truck Traffic Around Euclid Kroger

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council passed a measure Thursday that would affect through traffic in the neighborhood streets around the new Kroger on Euclid Avenue.

Written in response to neighborhood concerns about noisy truck deliveries, it prohibits the vehicles from traveling on certain streets in the nearby Columbia Heights neighborhood, including McCaws Alley, Park Avenue, Ashland Terrance, and  Columbia Avenue.  Bill Farmer and Ed Lane were the only councilmembers to vote against the measure.
