Several workers with congressional candidate Elisabeth Jensen have reportedly exited the campaign with just weeks remaining before the election.

According to cn|2 Pure Politics, Jensen deputy campaign manager Lisa Fryman says a difference of opinion in the direction of the campaign led to a group of staffers to leave their positions.

The campaign is still working hard and using volunteers to fill in for lost full-time workers, she says. While Jensen had employed six staffers prior to the shakeup, it’s unknown now how many remain on the payroll, though Fryman says it’s “enough.” Among those departing the campaign is former manager Allan Rivlin.

Jensen, a Democrat, is running to unseat Republican 6th District Congressman Andy Barr, a first-term representative.

Update 4:43 PM: Two former Jensen staffers say Democratic 6th Congressional District candidate Elisabeth Jensen fired them and that they did not walk out on the campaign “amicably” as previously reported by Pure Politics.

Jensen’s acting communications director, Carol Andrews, told cn|2 that three people left the campaign of their own volition. She added that these kinds of shakeups are not out of the norm.
