The Kentucky Health Information Exchange is developing an online portal to help patients access their personal medical records and information.
It's called myhealthnow, and it is currently in the pilot phase with some health care facilities around the state.
Cabinet for Health and Family Services Secretary Audrey Tayse Haynes says the site will allow the patient to play a larger role in their care.
The Cabinet says the website will be a central place for Kentucky patients to access, manage and share health information for themselves and family. The portal will contain up-to-date records for medications, allergies, health conditions, lab results and other critical health data.
The portal is expected to go live later this year.
