Chandelier Crashes At UK Library
A chandelier in the University of Kentucky’s W.T. Young Library crashed to the floor of the building’s fifth level Friday.
Workers had been performing maintenance on the fixture. While officials say no bystanders were in the immediate area, a report on Kentucky Sports Radio described the sound of the crash as being like "a thunderstorm."
The fifth floor has been roped off, but the rest of the library remains open.
No injuries were reported.
