Sinkhole Causes Damage At Corvette Musuem

A sinkhole has collapsed part of the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky, damaging six cars there but not shutting down the museum.

Bowling Green city spokeswoman Kim Lancaster said the hole opened up about 5:40 a.m. CST Wednesday, setting off an alarm and a call to the fire department.  The hole is in part of the domed section of the museum, and that area will remain closed. That's an original part of the museum, for which construction began in 1992 and was completed in 1994.

Lancaster said information is being gathered about what exactly happened, but this appears to be the first such case at the property.  No injuries have been reported.
