Widow of Ex-Legislator Not Satisfied with Sentence

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The widow of a former legislator who died after breaking up a fight at the southeastern Kentucky high school where he taught says charges against the teens who were involved in the fight were increased Tuesday but no additional sentence will be imposed.
Regina Bunch, who was elected to succeed DeWayne Bunch after his injury in April 2011, says she didn't want the boys to spend life in prison but believes they should serve more time. Records in the juvenile court case aren't open to the public, and lawyers and court officials will not talk about the matter.

Bunch spent more than a year trying to recover from the injury he suffered when he was punched and fell to the floor at Whitley County High School but died in July, leading to the increased charges.
