Lexington, KY – People will have the opportunity to take a walking tour of one of downtown Lexington's oldest neighborhoods this Sunday. Seven properties in the historic Gratz Park area will be open for visitors, free of charge.
Lexingtonian and long-time history buff June Dorsett is heading up the collaborative effort.
"The area that is covered goes from Old Morrison at Third Street to the Lexington History Museum on Main Street and the other stops are between those two on either Mill or Market."
Sites include the Hunt Morgan and Bodley-Bullock Houses, Henry Clay's Law Office, plus Transylvania University's Old Morrison and the Tombs. Tours are from 1 to 4:30 Sunday afternoon followed by a special concert at Christ Church Cathedral.
