Relax. Not because art should be easy, but because creativity has a way of finding us when we stop trying to control it. That's the idea behind this exhibit.

These works aren't a collection of finished pieces. They're a collection of moments—paintings, sketches, doodles, studies, experiments, and conversations between me and the page. Some were never meant to become anything more. Others may still have somewhere to go. For me, that's part of what makes them interesting.

I've realized that I often enjoy the loose work more than the finished piece. I love watching an idea unfold. I love movement, unexpected marks, and the places where curiosity quietly takes over. Sometimes the energy of creating is more beautiful than the destination.

More than anything, I'm drawn to art that I find interesting. Mine and everyone else's. Technical skill is something I admire, but it isn't what stops me in my tracks. What stops me is movement. Curiosity. Energy. A piece that makes me pause, wonder, or look a little longer. I love seeing evidence of the artist's hand and the path they took to get there.

For this exhibit, I chose not to hide the process. I wanted to share the exploration—the questions, the wandering, the moments when creativity was simply allowed to flow.
If you leave here with anything, I hope it's permission. Permission to let go of expectations. Permission to be curious. Permission to appreciate what doesn't need to be finished.

Sometimes the most meaningful part of creating isn't arriving. It's relaxing enough to see where the journey wants to take you.
