Fayette County Public Schools schedule makeup days

Associated Press

Fayette County Public Schools returned to in-person learning Tuesday on a two-hour delay after being homebound for 11 days following a winter storm that crippled much of the state.

On Monday, the school board agreed to make up one of the days lost on April 13th, which is the Monday after spring break.

Pupil Personnel Director Steve Hill anticipates that more makeup dates will be added to the current calendar, and the school year may need to be extended.

"I will assure you this: we are looking at all scenarios, all opportunities to recapture days," Hill said. "We are looking at all of that."

So far, March 20th has also been confirmed as a make-up day in Fayette County.
