Severe storms slam Kentucky overnight

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch that remains in effect for our listening area until 7:00 a.m. and a flood watch that remains in effect until Sunday.

The forecast for Thursday calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could be severe. The high will be near 67. The southwest wind will be 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch are possible.
