Three Vaccinated Kentuckians Are About To Become Millionaires

One million dollars could be yours, but only if you have been vaccinated. “Your shot of hope can now be your shot at a million.” Governor Andy Beshear announced new incentives to encourage more Kentuckians to get their COVID-19 vaccine.

Every Kentuckian who has gotten the Johnson and Johnson vaccine or at least their first dose of Pfizer of Moderna will be eligible for three separate million-dollar drawings.  And those between the ages of 12-17 who have been or get vaccinated will have a chance to win one of 15 full-ride scholarships to a public college, university, technical or trade school in Kentucky. Beshear called the incentives life-changing. “All you’ve got to do is the right thing. Get protected from a terrible virus,” Beshear said “Help us defeat COVID-19. Help us reach herd immunity and maybe just maybe end up with a million dollars or a free education.”

Beshear said he hopes the ‘Shot at a Million’ program creates a "significant" jump in Kentucky vaccination rates, especially among young people. More than 46% of Kentuckians have been vaccinated

The drawings will be held on June 30th, July 28th, and August 25th.  To register for your chance to win, log on to http://shotatamillion.ky.gov
