Here’s an update on a story we brought you yesterday. A federal agent says in a court affidavit that a man who ran from a Lexington police officer after a traffic stop accidentally shot himself in the leg. He was trying to pull a gun out of his pants when it went off. The officer fired in self-defense but it’s believed his rounds missed the man. Police were called to the area to investigate a robbery. The man has been released from the hospital and was arrested. He’s charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun.
