State Offers In-Person Unemployment Appointments

More than 900,000 Kentuckians have applied for unvemployment benefits since shut downs began in the state in March due to the Coronavirus. 90% of claimants have received their benefits but that leaves about 90,000 without any source of income. Starting this week, you can set a face-to-face appointment to get help if you are in that 10%. Officials with the Kentucky Labor Cabinet say appointments are available Monday through Friday in Frankfort at the Mayo-Underwood Building at 500 Mero Street from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you live in Grayson and Owensboro, appointments are available Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System campus.

To make an appointment, you can call 502-564-2900 or schedule on-line at http://kcc.ky.gov

Claimants need to bring two forms of ID.
