LexArts held it’s annual showcase of Lexington’s rich and vibrant arts community Tuesday afternoon as a kickstarter for it’s 2019 Campaign to raise $1.15million. WUKY’s Samantha Lederman has more.
Tthe 2019 Fund For the Arts Campaign Kicked Off in front of a full house at the Kentucky Theatre. The event returned to the Kentucky this year after a couple of years at Transylvania University.
The program showcased everything from poetry readings to theatre, from violin duets to Irish Dancing.
The campaign runs 12 weeks and LexArts is hoping to raise $1.15 million.
