Hardees, Waffle House Customers Warned Of Possible Hep A Exposure

Associated Press

The Fayette County Health Department is warning customers who dined at three restaurants of a possible exposure to hepatitis A.

In a tweet this afternoon, health officials said diners at the Hardees on Richmond Road and both Waffle House locations on Buena Vista in Lexington and on Carol Road in Winchester may be at risk for the illness.

The department is advising customers to get vaccinated. However, that recommendation is already in effect for all residents in Fayette County. Officials also recommend thorough handwashing, especially before eating or making food or using the restroom.
