UK President Dr. Eli Capilouto and KCTCS President Ryan Quarles sign the new transfer partnership.

Under the new Global Transfer Agreement, all KCTCS students will have access to support services to transfer to a four-year program at UK.

UK President Dr. Eli Capilouto said the partnership reduces both financial and administrative burdens on students.

"We are removing barriers for students and ensuring their academic pathways are smooth and uninterrupted, with initiatives like waived application fees and dedicated transfer advisors for students," said Capilouto

Capilouto was joined in signing the agreement by KCTCS President Ryan Quarles. Quarles emphasized the importance of providing diverse pathways for students success.

"Whether it's a single point of access, whether it's a journey, maybe it's coming back to school after trying it before, we want to say, 'The water's warm!'" said Quarles. "We need more people going to college, we need more people in the workforce, and we need more people completing a baccalaureate degree."

In addition to access to transfer advisors and reduced fees, the agreement also maximizes accepted credit hours and clarifies course equivalencies.
