Voters can head to GoVoteKY.com and click on the Absentee Ballot Request button. From there, they will first be prompted to check one of eight options for eligibility. Those include age, disability, illness, and several other reasons.
"We will mail you a ballot, you complete the ballot package just like you've done in the past, and then you mail it back to us, or you can use the dropbox located in front of the office down on 162 East Main Street," Fayette County Clerk Don Blevins says.
The deadline to register to vote in the primary has already passed.
All registered voters will be able to take advantage of early in-person voting on May 12, 13, and 14. The primary is set for May 17.
